BioEcon is a complementary system and a social practice. It is not an “anti” proposal. 

BioEcon aims at enabling other linguistic options to counterbalance the monolingualism of money. 

Studies have found that speaking two or more languages is a great asset to the cognitive process.

Learning a new language draws focus to the mechanics of language. It makes you more aware of the ways it can be structured and manipulated. Speakers of more than one language also develop a better ear for listening since they’re skilled at distinguishing meaning.

Speaking more than one language improves the functionality of your brain by challenging it to recognize, negotiate meaning, and communicate in different language systems.

So expanding your economy beyond money, can even improve your economy in the contexts where the tool is money.

AGREEMENT 

BioEcon is a tool for a non-monetary economy based on mutual agreements and requires a commitment to real participation with other users to experience directly what this is about. This real participation is verified by real offerings and the conclusion of person-to-person agreements.

NOT A COMMUNITY BUT A TOOL FOR BUILDING THEM 

BioEcon is not a particular community working on a non-monetary basis but a tool available to everyone who wants to use it and explore together with others how different individuals and communities can find ways of creating options that escalate.

CONDITIONS AND PERMISSIONS

Users expressly agree not to create a BioEcon account only for research purposes, nor to present the platform for academic research, audiovisual projects, or grants of any kind, as all related permissions and authorizations would have to be obtained for all subjects of the study, including the architecture and functionalities of the site itself. Content on the site is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights of BioEcon and BioEcon’s licensors or members. To protect these rights, users are asked to understand that research projects on BioEcon are expressly not authorised.
